CONJETURA DE GOLDBACH
Es curioso que aunque la matemática se ha diversificado y complicado cada vez más, siguen existiendo problemas "simples" no resueltos. Uno de ellos dice que cualquier número par es suma de 2 números primos (los que no tienen otros divisores: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, ...). Por ejemplo 10=3+7 12=5+7 14=7+7 ó 3+11, etc. Parece ser cierta esta conjetura pero nadie lo ha probado. Con encontrar un contraejemplo, es decir un número par que no se pueda expresar como suma de 2 primos es suficiente para invalidar la conjetura, pero nadie lo ha encontrado, de hecho de existir sería un número muy grande pues por computadora se ha comprobado la conjetura para todos los números menores a 2x10^16 además con números grandes aumenta el número de maneras de obtener la suma.
Otra conjetura que nadie ha podido probar es que existen infinidad de números primos gemelos (separados 2 unidades), por ejemplo 5 y 7, 11 y 13, 71 y 73, etc. Lo que si se probó desde Euclides por allá del año 300 ac es que hay infinidad de números primos.
